In Mommy Long Legs Escape, players must navigate a young girl as she tries to reach her mother's side. The player controls the girl as she moves around a series of increasingly complex obstacles.

The objective is to guide the girl to her mother without touching any of the numerous floor tiles that make up the room. The tiles change color at random, and if the girl steps on one that is the wrong color, the game is over.
